Welcome Friends and Advocates of Foster Youth:
WorkForce Solutions of the Coastal Bend is preparing for the 2nd Annual Texas Foster Youth Conference during May 2-3, 2008 in Corpus Christi, Texas. The WorkForce Solutions Youth Program will bring together foster youth from across the state to offer informative workshops on stimulating topics of interest to increase their life skills knowledge and guide them on their path to personal and economic fulfillment which will ultimately lead to their success as an adult.
It is with excitement and a sense of hope that we have developed this conference program. This conference is a collaboration of partners: Texas Workforce Commission, Texas Department of Family & Protective Services and Casey Family Programs in seeking positive outcomes for children and families and in promoting community awareness of the needs of foster youth.
We hope that you will join us in May in making our most vulnerable children not only a state priority but a national one. We encourage you to register early to get the lowest rate, and we look forward to seeing you at the conference!
